Discover the Power of the Autism Included Language Acquisition (AILA) Framework

Participants will be able to describe key characteristics of an autism-affirming approach to language acquisition, identify gaps in current practices, and explain why an affirming approach leads to better language outcomes for autistic individuals.

Participants will be able to evaluate autism-affirming values and their impact on therapy outcomes and apply these values to develop treatment plans that support more effective communication strategies for autistic individuals.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to explain the components of the Autism Included Language Acquisition (AILA) framework, and analyze case studies using the framework.

Participants will be able to identify common challenges in implementing autism-affirming language practices, analyze these challenges in real-world scenarios, and develop an evidence-based strategy to overcome each challenge.
